Teaching materials on children’s rights
Children’s rights: an important topic that deserves wide attention in primary education. We developed teaching materials for grades 7 and 8 for the KidsRights Foundation: focused on information about children’s rights, but also kindling enthusiasm in children, encouraging them to take action to improve on children’s rights in their own environment.
Kindling enthusiasm in children, encouraging them to take action.
Tested in practice
The children’s rights teaching package was developed in close consultation with teachers and primary school students. And tested in practice to give the subject maximum impact in daily teaching practice. This resulted in web-based teaching materials, which are most suitable for the digital whiteboard. Using a reliable teacher’s handbook, each teacher decides on the subjects they want or do not (yet) want to discuss.
Inspiring videos
The teaching materials include intense statements for a group discussion, a multiple-choice quiz, and plenty of suggestions for active class assignments. By means of inspiring videos, students learn how children’s rights are viewed in other countries and how children themselves can take control to improve their own living environment.
